Description:
The cheerful dahlia Souvenir DEte is a grateful summer flower that will give you pleasure for months. Souvenir DEte blooms all summer from July until the first frosts. Souvenir DEte grows to about 70 cm. tall. This dahlia is therefore also ideal for planting in pots on the terrace or balcony.
Planting:
Dahlia tubers can be planted in spring. Souvenir DEte is frost sensitive, so be careful of late night frosts. Dig a wide planting hole, loosen the soil and fill it with good potting soil. Carefully place the tubers in the planting hole and cover with 3-5 cm of soil. Plant the tubers 30-60 cm apart.
Care:
Water the tubers immediately after planting. dahlias bloom most profusely in full sun. Store the tubers in a frost-free place after flowering and you can enjoy them for years. Souvenir DEte combines well with perennials and other dahlias. The pink flowers are a real eye-catcher in the border. Souvenir DEtes are also excellent cut flowers and have a long vase life. The best time to pick dahlias is early in the day. Place the sprouts immediately in lukewarm water with cut flower tea.
